ABOUT THE PRATITIONER
Meet Damien Johnson — Flower Mound's Clinical Massage Specialist
I didn't start in massage therapy the way most therapists do.
My original idea was entirely different — a luxury date night experience combining a chauffeured ride, an immersive 360-degree projected environment, a chef-prepared meal, and a relaxing massage to end the evening. It was a business concept I was building with my brother. Massage school was just one piece of that puzzle.
But something shifted when I started learning the body.
What I was studying wasn't just technique — it was human anatomy, movement science, and the intricate way muscles, joints, and fascial systems relate to each other. I realized that what I was learning had the power to genuinely help people who were suffering. The business idea took a back seat. The deeper purpose took over.
I graduated magna cum laude from ATI Career Institute in August 2010 and have been practicing clinical therapeutic massage ever since — 15 years of working directly with people in pain, studying how the body moves, and refining my approach based on what actually works.

The Cheat Codes

Over those 15 years I kept noticing patterns. Most people move the same way. Most people now spend the majority of their day in the same posture — arms forward, neck forward, shoulders rounded — whether they're at a desk, on a phone, or behind a wheel. That means the foundation of most people's tension is similar.
What makes each person's pain unique is what they do differently. The specific movements, habits, and compensations that are particular to their life, their job, their sport, their history. That's where I focus.
I developed what I call cheat codes for the body — a systematic way of reading how someone moves, identifying where their body has started to compensate for pain or restriction, and working backward to find the original source of the problem. Once you know the cheat codes, you stop treating symptoms and start solving problems.

What That Means for You

When you come in for the first time, I'm not just going to put you on a table and start working. I'm going to watch how you move, assess what's restricted, explain what I find, and build a plan before I ever start a session. You'll leave understanding your body in a way you probably haven't before.
That's not a typical massage experience. It's the result of 15 years of study, practice, and genuine passion for figuring out why people hurt — and how to fix it.
I look forward to meeting you.
